Thread Content
Today, while attempting to carry out management tasks in the standard communication area, I noticed that some forum users had posted messages that did not meet the requirements. I wanted to issue a notice in this section to remind those users, but after checking, I found that instructor Haichuan Icetide had already posted two messages earlier: “Standard posting requirements for this section – must be read before posting” and “Communication thread for standard section moderators.” These messages provided detailed explanations regarding the proper way of posting as well as the rules regarding rewards and penalties. They were quite useful, but since they were mixed among numerous other forum announcements, they were not easily visible in this section. Therefore, I suggest that forum announcements and those specific to each section be separated and clearly labeled, so that those who enter this section can see them at a glance and be alerted accordingly. There are only 11 announcements in total, which isn’t many; those who visit the forum regularly have probably already seen them all. However, what the original poster said makes sense as well – separating the forum announcements from those of this thread can indeed serve as a useful reminder. But the method used needs to be considered; for example, what if we add explanatory text in parentheses after the announcements of this thread? Should we use color codes to distinguish them? Actually, the most important thing is to guide everyone to post in a proper manner (including reporting inappropriate posts).
