During the equipment installation process, should the unpacking documents for the equipment be kept by the construction team or by the owner?
In our yard, usually 7 sets are dried, with 3 sets kept for ourselves, 2 sets for the property owners, and 2 sets for the construction team; the drawings belonging to the construction team are retrieved after the project is completed
The unpacking documents for the equipment are handed over to the construction team for storage, as they are needed for installation and commissioning. Upon the handover of the completion documents, these documents are compiled as original records and delivered together to the project owner.
First, make copies of the equipment’s unpacking documents; keep the original copies for archiving, and hand over the copies to the construction unit and the supervision unit
During the equipment installation process, the unpacking documents for the equipment, that is, the accompanying materials, are usually kept by the person in charge of the relevant project on the part of the owner or in the owner’s document room; they can be borrowed or copied if needed during installation. The unpacking documents are not part of the handover documents!
