The relationship between hot pressing and heat treatment

When processing polymer materials, are the processing techniques of “heat treatment” and “thermo-pressing” in a hierarchical relationship? Is it still a similar process? Is it still a significantly different process? The concept of heat treatment as defined in chemical engineering dictionaries is: the use of heating followed by cooling to induce certain changes in the structure of a material, thereby improving certain properties. Hot pressing, then, is the process of pressing two materials together under certain temperature and pressure conditions. So I don’t understand now whether “heat treatment” and “hot pressing” are hierarchical concepts.
Heat treatment and hot pressing are two completely different methods. Heat treatment is a method of heating certain products that are prone to developing internal stresses during the production process in order to eliminate those stresses; for example, PC products are subjected to heat treatment at 115–120 degrees for 1.5 hours. Thermoforming is a molding method that operates alongside processes such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, and rotational molding.
