Electrical transition to instruments

I used to major in electrical engineering, and now I work with instruments as well; I feel there are quite a few differences between the two. I was wondering if there are anyone here who has switched from electrical engineering to working with instruments – I’d like to hear about their experiences.
I studied electrical engineering in school, and now I work with instruments. There is a significant difference between electrical and instrumentation fields. Read more books on instruments to understand the principles, participate more in actual work, and go to the sites more often.
The foundation of instrumentation work is electricity (low-voltage electricity); with knowledge in this area, by practicing on-site and studying the manufacturer’s instructions carefully, one will be able to get the hang of instrumentation work quite quickly.
I also want to move towards electrical engineering; by learning more about electrical systems, I can become proficient in both electrical and instrumentation fields. Gaining practical experience in communication as well is very useful for improving one’s skills.
