The conversion rate between tons and barrels is as follows: 1 ton is approximately equal to 7 barrels; if the oil is lighter in density, then 1 ton is roughly equal to 7.2 or 7.3 barrels. Gas stations in countries such as the United States and Europe typically use gallons as the unit of measurement, while gas stations in China use liters. 1 barrel = 158.98 liters = 42 gallons. 1 US gallon = 3.785 liters, 1 UK gallon = 4.546 liters. To convert volume to weight, it depends on the density of crude oil. Assuming that the density of crude oil for a certain property is 0.99 kilograms per liter, then the weight of one barrel of crude oil is 158.98×0.99=157.3902 kilograms.
