Why don’t domestic manufacturers engage in technical exchanges?

In recent years, our country has introduced a variety of world-class production technologies for the manufacture of general-purpose plastics. If effective exchanges can take place to build on each other’s strengths, everyone can achieve technological improvements. Why not?

Communication is very difficult because it involves specific technical issues. It’s not possible abroad either. Don’t you see that most of the papers published in various professional journals come from universities? As a company, the papers produced by them must have even greater value, but why is that? Due to the confidentiality of specific technologies, many companies are unable to publish papers, let alone engage in exchanges.

Therefore, the production tips one has gained through their own manufacturing process certainly are not something they want to share with competitors.

Acting as a link, they help ensure that information about the different companies remains shared among them. Avoid repeating the same mistakes.
Competitors are rivals, but some companies are relatively open, and certain associations can also serve as platforms for exchange.
Colleagues are friends; one should just give others room to think and not say everything.
Many times, even technical exchanges involve only rather superficial topics! They will never reveal the key aspects of production, not even under threat, unless they slip up! :)

What is technology? Technology is a productivity factor that promotes production; it is something that brings benefits. For this reason, no one wants to give away their productivity. This is also something that arises inevitably from competition. Nowadays, not only is there no communication between companies, but even among technical workers within the same company, communication has become difficult – everyone wants to hold onto their job. Alas, what a pity!
In the past, during the era of state-owned enterprises, introductions were made by paying money, with everyone sharing the costs and engaging in exchanges within the same industry; nowadays, it is generally the company itself that pays the cost, with only those companies within the industry that contribute money able to benefit from such exchanges, and financial considerations have taken the place of interactions between industries
In fact, domestic companies have been exchanging information, but it’s only in terms of personnel exchanges; therefore, there is no need for further technical exchanges
