The latest standards for dimethyl ether product specifications are the chemical industry standard "HG/T3934-2007 dimethyl ether" and the urban construction industry standard "CJ/T259-2007 dimethyl ether for urban gas" issued by the Ministry of Construction. The storage time of methanol is relatively flexible, and the fire protection level is also low. For example, a chromatography set may not be cheap. Regarding investment in process equipment, each unit uses different technologies, catalyst prices are different, and construction requirements are different, so I won’t go into details. When the owner actually enters the early stage of the project, he tries his best to include the feasibility study, project approval information, local hydrogeological and meteorological data, and, yes, the topographic map (be careful of the survey team taking away the owner's money, haha). However, often the owner cannot find a complete set of information because he does not know what is needed for the design. It is best to communicate clearly with the design institute in advance, and he has to write meeting minutes anyway. In addition, it is best for the owner’s management team to have people who really understand the methanol process (that is, the technical person in charge of the methanol plant is best, and there don’t seem to be many in the dimethyl ether plant yet), instrumentation, and equipment. It is best to have strong expertise in these majors, otherwise small problems may occur.
