Possible faults of pumps and their solutions. Sequence Number, Fault, Cause, Solution: 1. Bearing overheating: 1. Excessive lubricant; 2. Insufficient lubricant; 3. Damaged lubricant; 4. Misalignment of the pump and drive unit; 5. Vibration. Solutions: 1. Reduce the amount of lubricant; 2. Add more lubricant; 3. Drain and clean the lubricant; 4. Check and adjust the alignment of the pump and drive unit; 5. Check the balance of the rotor or operate the pump at a very low flow rate. 2. Internal leakage in the bearings: 1. Damaged bearing seals; 2. Seals that are too hard or uneven. Solutions: 1. Replace with new seals; 2. Anneal and smooth the seals. 3. No water output from the pump: 1. Pump not started; 2. Too low pump speed; 3. Clogged impeller; 4. Clogged suction inlet; 5. Damaged impeller; 6. Incorrect rotation direction. Solutions: 1. Start the pump; 2. Check the drive unit; 3. Clean the impeller channels; 4. Clean the suction lines; 5. Replace the impeller; 6. Change the rotation direction of the drive unit. 4. Too low flow rate or discharge pressure: 1. Air in the suction inlet; 2. Too low pump speed; 3. Too low NPSHA; 4. Clogged suction inlet; 5. Clogged impeller; 6. Damaged impeller or worn seal rings; 7. Incorrect rotation direction. Solutions: 1. Check the suction lines for air leaks; 2. Check the drive unit; 3. Inspect the suction section; 4. Clean the suction lines; 5. Clean the impeller channels; 6. Replace the impeller or seal rings; 7. Change the rotation direction of the drive unit. 5. Motor overload: 1. Misalignment; 2. Increased specific gravity; 3. Friction in the rotating parts; 4. Reduced system resistance, causing the operation point to shift toward higher flow rates. Solutions: 1. Adjust the alignment of the pump and drive unit; 2. Modify the operating conditions; 3.
