Vacuum Pump Set 1 – Operating Procedures A. Starting the pump 1. First, fill the vacuum pump with the working fluid; 2. Check the lubrication of the pump, whether the pressure gauge and temperature gauge are functioning properly, whether all connection parts are secure, and whether the working fluid of the pump meets the requirements, that is, it is aligned with the centerline of the pump shaft. Ensure that the valves of the system pipes containing the working fluid between the pump and the heat exchanger, as well as the overflow lines, are in the open position; this will ensure that a sufficient level of liquid is present in the piping system connecting the heat exchanger and the gas-liquid separator. 3. Turn the shaft by hand to ensure it rotates smoothly and freely ; 4. Supply cooling water to the heat exchanger ; 5. Start pump ; 6. Open the inlet valve and bypass valve, as well as the vent valve at the top of the gas-liquid separation tank ; 7. Connect power to the booster pump, then set the switch to the automatic pressure mode; the MB800 booster pump will start only when the pressure reaches a certain level (pre-set). It can also be started manually, but the manufacturer recommends starting the equipment using a pressure control switch installed in the pipeline and connected in series with the control system. Slowly close the bypass valve; now the liquid ring pump and the booster pump work together to evacuate air, allowing the equipment to reach the specified vacuum level, after which it continues to operate in this state. B. Stop or switch the pump 1. After starting the standby pump following the startup procedure ; 2. Close the booster pump inlet valve. 3. Close the booster pump outlet valve ; 4. Open the drain valve on the outlet pipeline side ; 5. Turn off the MB800 booster pump. 6. Turn off the liquid ring pump. II. Daily Maintenance 1. Regularly check the lubrication of the pump, ensuring the implementation of the “three filters” and “five fixed principles”” ; 2. Regularly check the operating condition of bearings, seals, etc., as well as the tightness of the pump; also inspect for any abnormalities such as vibration or noise ; 3. During the day, turn the standby machine 180 degrees each day to prevent rust and shaft bending ; 4. Regularly check the condition of the cooling water to prevent damage to equipment and pipelines due to freezing ; 5. Regularly check the condition of the components to ensure they are complete and in good condition.
