Question: What pipeline material should be used for the process gas in sulfur recovery units?
Aluminized tubes. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
We use ordinary carbon steel pipes in our design. 20# or L245
It is best to use stainless steel; it can be done in one go and will solve the problem permanently； If carbon steel is used, although the initial investment is low, it will lead to numerous problems down the road; hydrogen sulfide causes severe corrosion of carbon steel, and the pipes become severely damaged after just two or three years of use. We have been educated!
