It was learned on February 25 at the project signing ceremony held in Wuhai City with Hubei Yihua Group that Yihua Group plans to invest 10 billion yuan in building a Yihua Industrial Park in Wuda Economic Development Zone, to develop industries such as coal chemistry and salt chemistry. The projects invested in by Hubei Yihua Group in Wuhai include a coal mine with an annual production capacity of 2 million tons, 2 thermal power plants with an annual capacity of 200,000 kilowatts each, a coking plant with an annual output of 1 million tons, a methanol plant with an annual production of 125,000 tons, an acetic acid plant with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons, a calcium carbide plant with an annual output of 800,000 tons, a PVC plant with an annual production of 400,000 tons, a caustic soda plant with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons, a vinyl acetate plant with an annual output of 300,000 tons, a PVC profile plant with an annual production of 200,000 tons, and a 1.4-butanediol plant with an annual output of 50,000 tons. The above projects will be constructed in three phases, with completion planned within 5 years. Upon completion of the project, sales revenue of 20 billion yuan will be generated. It is reported that Hubei Yihua Group Co., Ltd., founded in 1977, is one of the 520 key enterprises in China and the largest producer of chlor-alkali products in Hubei Province. It has since developed into a large enterprise group operating in three main sectors: coal chemicals, phosphorus chemicals, and salt chemicals, with its products covering more than 20 varieties across the fields of fertilizers, chemicals, and thermal power generation.
