Should ESD hardware configuration and logical diagram configuration be referred to as “configuration” or “setup”? This post was last edited by echommm on 2008-2-28 11:08]
I feel that the hardware at the front is “configured” while the logic diagram at the back is “configured””
I also think that “hardware configuration” and “logical configuration” make sense, as I recall that DCS personnel refer to “configuration” as “组态”. But can the same term have different meanings within the same sentence?
There’s nothing wrong with that, right? From foreigners’ point of view, it’s all the same thing – it’s all about how systems are structured. It’s just that our customary translation terms are different

On the same website, there are 2 results that match the query term “function group configuration”. Therefore, choose “Control Function Configuration”.
Configuration implies structure, construction, layout, shape, appearance, setup, and arrangement. Control function configuration, following the common order, can be translated as control function configuration, control function structure, and control function setup respectively.

For control function configuration, it is better to use configuration in the case of DCS, while for the actual control scheme, configuration is more appropriate
