Our factory has increased the dry point of gasoline according to the leader's requirements, but after the refined diesel oil has been washed and settled with alkali washing water, serious slag phenomenon has appeared. Is there any connection between them? Is it caused by the increased dry point? How to solve it? I urgently need a solution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think there is a natural connection between the two. Gasoline is originally a light component in the mixed oil. Increasing the dry point of gasoline means a decrease in the diesel-gasoline ratio. The possible reason is that it was brought in during the subsequent alkali washing process, or it was brought in during the dehydration process. Generally, impurities in the raw materials will not be carried to subsequent sections. If the raw materials contain a large amount of impurities, the catalyst will be damaged first, and this is not allowed.
Dry point (KK): When the oil reaches the highest vapor phase temperature after distillation, it is called the final distillation point or dry point. Therefore, there is a certain relationship in the high-pressure distillation process of straight-run diesel. The higher the dry point, the better the quality of the diesel. But now the finished diesel is produced by hydrocracking, so it doesn’t matter much.
