Due to corrosion and erosion, the inlet nozzle of a tower in my unit was originally 12mm thinned to 3.5mm. During maintenance this year, I want to update the tangent inlet. What issues should be paid attention to during the update and maintenance process? Are there any special requirements for reinforcement when taking over the replacement? The nominal diameter of the feed port is 300mm. Please give me some advice.
Without affecting the process, a baffle can be added at an appropriate position at the nozzle inlet to prevent erosion and corrosion. The diameter of the manhole reinforcement ring can be found in the pressure vessel reinforcement calculation. The reinforcement plate is made according to regulations.
Does the original reinforcement circle need to be dismantled and replaced with a new one?
