What does water pipe pressure depend on? Flow rate or head?
If water is pumped using a centrifugal pump, the pressure in the pipeline is mainly determined by factors such as the pump’s head, the pressure at the pump inlet, and the resistance in the pipeline； As for flow rate, when the flow rate is low, the head is high; in other words, the pressure at the pump outlet increases, while it decreases when the flow rate is high.
