Measures to prevent methanol poisoning in device production. Methanol (CH3OH) is a colorless and transparent liquid with a slight ethanol-like odor. The relative molecular mass is 32.04, and the boiling point is 64.7°C. It can dissolve in water in any proportion, and is soluble in solvents such as ether, ethanol, benzene, and similar substances. Inhalation of methanol vapor: Mild cases present with symptoms such as headache, dizziness, fatigue, blurred vision, unsteady gait, and insomnia ； In severe cases, in addition to a significant worsening of the aforementioned symptoms, there is double vision, eye pain, hand tremors, and difficulty in accurately pointing at an object with the finger ； In more severe cases, mental disorders may occur, such as hallucinations, visual hallucinations, inability to remember recent events, and even coma. Methanol vapor can irritate the eyes, and liquid methanol can cause damage to the corneal surface. It has no significant effect on the skin, but can be absorbed through it. Precautionary measures: 1. During the production process, try to avoid direct contact with methanol liquid or entering areas with high concentrations of methanol vapor. 2. Improve sealing and ventilation systems for exhaust; protective masks and gloves should be worn when coming into contact with or entering areas with high concentrations. 3. Strengthen the management of methanol storage, emissions, and routine equipment maintenance to eliminate leaks and other issues in moving and stationary equipment. 4. In the event of a leak, it must be reported as required; protective equipment should be worn as appropriate before taking any action to address it. 5. Prevent accidental ingestion.
