In fact, different systems have varying configuration methods, but their core functions are similar: the input of AI signals and the corresponding processing; the implementation of control and adjustment processes; the output of AO signals; the input of DI signals; the use of logic for generating DO signals; the creation of flowcharts; the preparation of trend reports; alarm indication, as well as the reception and processing of single-value signals (such as thermocouple and thermal resistance signals). Nowadays, FCS fieldbus technology is widely used, which has led to changes in the configuration process.
