In the draft for comments, the National VI emission standards also specify the detailed requirements for benchmark vehicle gasoline and diesel. For automotive gasoline, the main improvements from National Standard III to National Standard IV and V are “desulfurization and manganese reduction”” ； Compared with National V standard gasoline, the main improvements in the benchmark gasoline of the sixth stage involve adjustments to technical parameters such as research octane number, aromatic content, olefin content, benzene content, vapor pressure, and boiling range. Among them, the research octane number is set to change from 89, 92, 95, etc., as specified by the National V emission standards, to a lower octane range of 92–94 and a higher octane range of 95–98 ； The aromatic content will be adjusted from 40% in National V standard to 27%-32% for benchmark gasoline grade 92, and 30%-35% for benchmark gasoline grade 95 ； The olefin content will be adjusted from no more than 24% under Standard V to 10%-15% ； The benzene content will be 20% lower than that of National Standard V.
Sulfur content is less than 5, aromatic content is less than 20
