What should you do in such a situation?

I recently applied for the moderator position, but during my management of this forum I noticed that some members posted 10 to 30 file-sharing posts at once, and not in the appropriate sections (for example, they posted these file-sharing posts in the technical discussion area). What’s even more inappropriate is that 80 to 90% of those files were already available on the forum; everyone can probably guess what the purpose behind this was. What I do is move the duplicate content to the forum’s trash bin, rate the unique content, and let them know to pay attention to searching when posting next time and to send their posts to the appropriate sections. Unexpectedly, while I was transferring the posts, that member told me his post was not duplicated and said he was being wronged, which had dampened his enthusiasm for posting. I politely informed them that the address of a post already existed on the forum, explaining that this was necessary to save space resources for the forum. I’m afraid that member deleted even his unique posts as well; I think he was truly upset. I don’t know what to say to comfort him, nor do I want the forum to lose such an active member. The administrator at the time had said, “One should have a tolerant heart when dealing with members.” But I’m really confused now; what should I do? Please suggest a suitable approach and tell us how we should deal with such members.
In that case, the duplicate messages can be moved to the recycle bin, thereby stopping the text message alerts for this member； Additionally, for other materials they upload that comply with the guidelines, scores should be given as much as possible; it is important to encourage their enthusiasm for uploading.
Communicate with him carefully and patiently, encourage him to post, but let him know that some posts are repetitive – just ask him to be mindful of that.
There’s nothing wrong with having clear rewards and punishments; if moderators also have to do **ideological work, it’s bound to be exhausting to the point of exhaustion!
