You definitely have to take the exam again. Of course, if you have worked for enough years, you don’t need to take the basic exam again. The basic examinations for each major include public basics and professional basics, and are taken in the morning and afternoon. The public basic classes in the morning are similar, but the professional basic classes in the afternoon are different. Therefore, if you take the exam for other engineers, if you do not have enough working years, you must take the basic course again.

The first half of their basic exam textbooks are the same as those for chemical engineering, covering basic advanced mathematics, physics, three major mechanics, engineering economics, computers, etc., but the latter part is different, so I think we still have to take the exam. The subjects of the Registered Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineer Examination and the Registered Chemical Engineer Examination are similar, but they are probably also required to be tested. There is also the Registered Environmental Engineer. Their examination content is quite different from that of chemical engineering, so they should also be tested. Other registration qualification examinations have different contents from chemical engineering, so they must be tested.
