Almost all of them adhere to the furnace and tube walls, resulting in poor heat transfer effect. In order to reach a certain load, the only way to increase the furnace temperature is to increase the exhaust gas temperature significantly, and the user has to shut down the furnace frequently. However, if the catalyst powder is removed, the catalytic oil slurry is a good component for blending fuel oil. The Nanjing Refinery Research Institute once successfully developed a 20# furnace using the catalytic oil slurry with the catalyst powder removed. Fuel oil is used in the hydrocarbon reformer of Shanghai Wujing Chemical Plant instead of 0# diesel, which has resulted in huge economic benefits for both parties. Recently, Zhejiang Jiangnan Industry and Trade Group Co., Ltd. still uses the catalytic oil slurry that removes catalyst powder as the main body to develop 0# furnace fuel oil, which can replace 0# diesel for oil-fired boilers below 8 tons.
