Should oil pipelines use seamless pipes or spiral pipes?

During a recent construction project, our company replaced the originally designed seamless pipes with spiral pipes. Could experts advise us as to whether this approach complies with the regulations?
Generally, seamless steel pipes are used. I’ve never seen spiral pipes before; are they used for transporting heavy oil?
Oil pipelines generally use seamless steel pipes!
It depends on the specific circumstances. Seamless is generally chosen ； Large-diameter pipelines still use spiral pipes; for example, at the Shibu Bridge pumping station on Qixia Mountain, I saw that the oil inlet and outlet ports were all equipped with spiral pipes.

There are many spiral tubes used in oil and gas pipelines... Large-sized seamless tubes have size limitations. Last edited by ssmith2007 on 2008-3-3 18:37]
