The electrolyzers from Asahi Kasei that have just been put into use in our factory use new F4401 membranes, and the operating conditions are the same; yet there is a significant difference in cell voltage. Cell A: current of 11.8 KA, voltage of 383.4 V. Cell B: current of 11.8 KA, voltage of 388.2 V. I don’t know why. It’s frustrating. # , , &
Are the two tanks of the same type, and is the number of cells in each tank the same?
Measure the voltage of each cell slot to determine which slots in slot B have membrane leakage
What are the tank temperatures of the two tanks? This situation may be due to membrane leakage causing corrosion of the electrode; please stop the machine and conduct a thorough inspection to check for membrane leaks as well as the condition of the electrode coating. If our assumptions are correct, the temperature in tank B should be higher than that in tank A.
They are all Asahi Kasei natural circulation polarized electrolyzers; each unit cell contains 124 cells, and the cell temperature remains around 87 degrees
Are there any cells with particularly high or low cell voltages? What was the voltage when the vehicle was first started? Also, recalibrate the voltmeter used to measure the voltage.
1. What is the actual operating current of the electrolyzer? 2. Are the concentrations of the anode solution in the two tanks the same? 3. Are the concentrations of the catholyte in the two tanks the same? 4. Is the chlorine purity the same in the two tanks? 5. Is it considered whether there is any transmitter error in current control? 6. Is the hydrogen content in the chlorine of the two tanks the same? It is also necessary to consider whether the two films installed in the slots were installed by the same person; it’s possible that there was an issue with the installation of one of the slot films. It mainly depends on checking the voltage of each individual slot; also, by adding up the voltages of the slots, it can be determined whether they are consistent – it could be a problem with the instruments.
The current displayed on the meter may differ from the actual current.
