Does anyone know under what conditions the \"16Mn(HRC) material\" is used, how to place an order for it, and what the technical specifications are?:)
16MnR-HIC introduces additional requirements within the specifications for 16MnR steel plates in order to enhance the steel’s resistance to hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC), making it suitable for wet H2S environments. 16MnR-HIC steel plates are generally produced using an electric furnace combined with LF/VD vacuum refining processes, and should be essentially fine-grained killed steel. The chemical composition is as follows: C: ≤0.2% Mn: 1.2%-1.35% Si: 0.2%-0.6% P: ≤0.015% S: ≤0.004% Ca: 0.0015%-0.003% O2: ≤0.0025% CE: ≤0.43% For hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC) testing, Solution A (initial pH ≤3.3) is used; the requirements are CLR≤5%, CTR≤1.5%, and CSR≤0.5%
