In a back-pressure steam turbine, there is startup oil and quick-shut oil; what is the function of the startup oil? It can’t just be about establishing a quick-shut oil system!
The starting oil is used to ensure that the quick-shut valve remains closed, and then it is used to open the quick-shut valve
Starting oil is used to open the quick-close valve; it brings the piston into contact with the piston disc. Afterwards, the quick-close oil pushes the piston disc along with the piston from the other side. As the pressure of the starting oil decreases, the quick-close oil pushes the piston and piston disc together outward, thereby opening the quick-close valve.
