It is now planned to replace the hydrocracking tail oil that was originally used as the raw material for ethylene cracking. The hydrocracking tail oil is used as the raw material for catalytic cracking (it has to be). Some people are worried about whether the amount of coke can meet the heat balance of regeneration. Friends, please give me some advice.
Worrying about heat balance is easy to handle. If the heat is insufficient, you can consider reducing the stripping steam of the regenerating agent. You can also inject fuel into the regenerator. :lol
In fact, I personally think that the temperature of the regenerator should not be too high, as long as it can ensure good burning.
At present, in our rfccu, we occasionally add hydrocracking tail oil to the wax oil feed. The hydrocracking tail oil has good cracking performance and low coke production. For heavy oil catalysis, it can be processed by adjusting the residue ratio.
It is indeed a waste of resources to use hydrogenated tail oil as catalytic raw material. If the heat is not balanced, you can consider adding coking heavy wax, normal residue, reduced residue and other slightly inferior raw materials.
The coke production rate of hydrogenated tail oil is low. It is a good raw material to be used in catalysis. It is indeed wasted. Proper blending will gradually increase the proportion. After all, the heat of vaporization and reaction heat required for the overall lightening of the raw material will also be reduced. It is still okay not to rush into light materials. The blending ratio of my heavy catalyst has reached roughly 9.0%, so there is no big problem.
Hydrocracking tail oil is a high-quality raw material for producing high-grade lubricating oil base oil. If all hydrocracking tail oil is used as catalytic raw material, the amount of coke generated should be very low, equivalent to the previous pure wax oil catalysis. If you are worried about heat balance, it is recommended to adjust some slag reduction to lift up the residual carbon in the feed.
