This is related to the temperature of ammonia; in terms of resistance to low temperatures, the order is stainless steel > 16Mn > 20# steel. In my opinion, it depends on the composition of the ammonia solution – if it is sulfur-free ammonia, then 20# steel is a suitable choice. For pipelines that contain a small amount of other ions or sulfur, I think 304 is still the better choice. Based on your situation, I believe using 20# under normal conditions should be fine! o done

Ammonia does not corrode phosphor bronze. Pure ammonia is corrosive to pure copper, brass, zinc, etc., while ammonium carbide is highly corrosive to carbon steel.
