water hammer: It refers to the impact force generated when a hot fluid such as steam partially condenses during the flow or when it is stationary and cannot be discharged in time. When the gas phase bubbles burst, the liquid phase quickly fills the vacancy. Method 1: Open the drain in time to drain the condensate. (Every time you turn on the steam water, drain it.) The water shock is scary. When operating the second method, do not turn on the steam from time to time.
The contact method of packed tower can be used instead. But I use the same process as you and it doesn't shock. I don't know what the difference is. I don't understand...
In steam pipes, if the heating pipe is insufficient and the water is not completely drained, part of the steam sent out will condense into water, and the volume will suddenly shrink, resulting in a partial vacuum. The following methods are for your reference to eliminate water hammer: (1) Open or close the valve slowly ; (2) Minimize the length of the pipeline between the valve and the container ; (3) The pipeline is equipped with a safety valve, air valve or accumulator ; (4) Before supplying steam to the steam pipe, the pipe should be fully warmed and drained thoroughly, and then the valve should be slowly opened to supply steam.
It is recommended that LZ adopt a "steam-water mixer". The hot water heating system of our company's northern factory in winter is directly heated by steam. A steam-water mixer was selected during the design, and no "water hammer" phenomenon occurred.
