LMTD correction factor (FT)
FT factor is also known as temperature difference correction coefficient. If this coefficient is too low, you can appropriately change the flow mode, increase the number of series connections on the shell side, or change the inlet and outlet temperatures.
The FT factor of the heat exchanger is a very important parameter, which is related to whether the calculation results and shape of the heat exchanger are reasonable! If it is too low, it means there is a temperature crossover and needs to be adjusted! To make a good calculation, you still need to have an in-depth understanding of the process!
