What is the allowable temperature difference for a U-shaped bend cooler?

After the oil washing at 273 degrees in our company’s tower bottom is completed, it is directly cooled with water. The coolers tend to leak after being used for a while, and the same problem persists even after replacing them with new coolers. The cooler is of U-tube type and is water-cooled. Is it caused by an excessive temperature difference between the hot and cold media? How can this be avoided? Would using a floating-head design be a better solution?
I guess so; I can’t be exactly sure. I’ll go ask at the design institute tomorrow.
It shouldn’t be a structural issue; U-tubes can fully address the problem of tube bundle expansion. I’m not sure what you mean by leakage – does it refer to the junction between the heat exchange tubes and the tube sheet, the heat exchange tubes themselves, or the gasket seals? Only by clarifying the issue can an analysis be carried out
It was repaired once, and it was found that the gasket was the problem
