The 3rd China (Heze) Agricultural Inputs Trade Fair was held from March 1st to 3rd at the China Forest Exhibition Hall in Heze, Shandong, and the 2008 China Agricultural Inputs Quality Campaign also started in Heze at the same time. The China (Heze) Agricultural Inputs Trade Fair has been held for two consecutive sessions since 2006. The agricultural supplies fair adheres to the principle of serving agriculture, rural areas, and farmers, with the goal of promoting the adjustment of the agricultural industry structure and the development of new socialist rural areas. Based in the heart of the Central Plains region and targeting the whole country, it showcases and promotes the latest agricultural technologies and products, facilitates trade in agricultural-related goods and project cooperation, and gradually establishes effective channels for the flow of people, goods, and information, thereby creating a platform and base for the distribution of agricultural supplies in the Central Plains region. It is reported that this agricultural supplies trade fair is jointly organized by the People’s Government of Heze City, the Agricultural Supplies Guide published by China Chemical Industry News, and the Shandong Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The trade fair features five exhibition areas, covering areas such as pesticides, fertilizers, seeds, agricultural science and technology, and agricultural machinery. During the trade fair, the “2008 Brand Agricultural Inputs for Farmers” campaign under the China Agricultural Inputs Quality Initiative was launched; there was also a competition in which ordinary people served as judges and selected the top 100 brands of agricultural inputs that farmers trusted the most by sending text messages. In addition, agricultural experts were brought to the trade fair site to answer questions and guide farmers on how to choose and use agricultural inputs properly.
