Does CO2 have the effect of reducing wax formation in the synthesis system?

The raw gas used for methanol synthesis contains CO and CO2. I’ve heard that CO2 serves to prevent wax formation in the system; could you please explain how that works? Thank you!
CO and H2 are the substances that produce paraffin; the addition of CO2 reduces the effective partial pressure of CO. According to reaction kinetics, a decrease in partial pressure slows down the reaction rate, thereby indirectly reducing the formation of paraffin. . . . . . . . . . . .
