It’s a story from a long time ago. I worked in the northwest for a few years; every year, when heavy snows fell, I would take the train home. After a few days of travel, I finally arrived at my destination. I was extremely tired, but I still managed to muster up some remaining energy. In the square, I smelled that familiar scent, and following its guidance, I went to an inexpensive restaurant next to the train station. I dropped my luggage and ordered generously: “Boss, give me some stir-fried pork with soy sauce, and some shredded pork in sweet sauce. And also some braised fish.” After eating, everyone felt recharged again. Everyone started talking about the favorite local dishes they wanted to eat
My favorite dish is Harbin’s pork belly in a batter crust. I used to like eating the dumplings from Xijia De, and now I have my own Xijia De dumpling restaurant here, so I no longer need to miss the taste of home.
Actually, there are also Northeastern-style pork dishes in southern restaurants, but the taste is far from good
I want to eat Northeastern cold noodles with some small grilled dishes
Thin crust, large filling – the Vegetarian Three Delicacies version contains shrimp, while the Spicy Three Delicacies version includes sea cucumber. These two fillings are my child’s and my favorites; they are also the specialty of this restaurant and are truly delicious.
My family is from Shandong, and the traditional dishes we prepare every year include cooking a pot of meat, steaming several batches of baozi, making steamed cakes, and frying meatballs; I’ll share pictures tomorrow!
