The 2017 New Year Go Championship will be held from January 29th to 31st, with the best go players from China, Japan, and South Korea – Ke Jie, Yuta Iyama, and Park Tinghuan – participating. Guess who will win the championship; the deadline for making guesses is January 29th, and those who guess correctly will receive flowers
On January 29th, Beijing time, Yuta Iyama, playing as the black player, defeated Ke Jie in the middle stage of the match and thus advanced to the final. Tomorrow (the 30th), at 2 p.m., Ke Jie will compete with Park Tinghuan for the other spot in the final
On January 30th, Beijing time, China’s top go player Ke Jie, 9-dan, defeated South Korea’s Park Tinghuan, 9-dan, with 218 moves in the middle game; he will now face Yuta Iyama on January 31st
