The last edit to this post was made by a senior beginner in design on 2017-2-9 at 16:41. During my college days, it was probably the movie \"Journey to the Mountains\" that sparked this interest; plus, there were seniors who went there as well, which led to the dream of cycling through Tibet! In the blink of an eye, it will be 5 years since I graduated, and I’ve searched for many guides and travel accounts; I think the 318 route through Sichuan and Tibet is a necessary lesson in life: lol. The main concern right now is my physical condition; I haven’t ridden a bicycle much since graduating, and I’ve also gained quite a bit of weight. I’m worried about altitude sickness, as well as having to climb mountains at 4,000 or 5,000 meters high. There must be quite a few sea lovers who have been there, and I’m sure many more want to go as well. I’d love to hear about your experiences or plans!
Yes! Take me for example; for many years, right up to the present, I’ve wanted to ride a motorcycle and explore Tibet and Xinjiang. I’m stuck because I don’t have time and can’t take leave. Otherwise, I would have gone earlier. :lol
I thought about it 15 years ago, but unfortunately, during the preparation process, those damned thieves stole my GIANT780. I’ve completely given up on it now; let’s see what you guys do.
There are quite a few people who ride motorcycles along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway to Tibet; I hope you can set off on your journey soon. There was once a young man from Nanjing named Chen Jianguo, who rode a motorcycle from the Mount Everest base camp at an altitude of 5,200 meters to a point at an altitude of 5,700 meters on Mount Everest. This achievement represented the highest record for motorcycle use in the Everest area.
I definitely will go there when I retire. I’ve read quite a few travel blogs about Morocco; now I can only satisfy my curiosity by looking at them. :handshake
15 years ago, I was just a naive teenager; how time flies! :o Plan to have it done, if possible, before 5.1. :lol
I have been to Lhasa before. 1. During my school years, on a whim, I left school without telling my family, and then rode a bicycle from Xining in Qinghai to Lhasa. 2. I regretted it on the third day of my journey – it was too difficult. But, how should I put it? Using the popular phrase nowadays, it’s like \"if you’ve arranged to have sex with someone, you have to go through with it even if it makes you cry.\" When I arrived in Golmud, I heard how terrifying the Tanggula Pass was, so I prepared various equipment to prevent altitude sickness. But when we could no longer bear the embarrassment, we asked the temporary leader at the time when it would be used, and the old man replied, “It’s at the gas station from yesterday evening; 10 kilometers to the west. The highest point was reached at 5 p.m. yesterday.” 4. When we arrived in Lhasa, we ran out of money, and I did something that I still can’t forgive myself for (it was in 2003); I abandoned my companion who was traveling with me. I went ahead and asked my sister for 600 yuan by myself, then took a bus back. Leave him alone in Lhasa……
He is also a person with a story! :handshake
