According to reporter Alex Kennedy, a general manager from one of the teams in the league revealed that the Lakers are trying to sell their player Louis Williams, with a deal potentially being finalized by the trade deadline. Previously, it was reported that the Lakers’ general manager, Mitch Kupchak, is in talks with other teams in the league regarding the possibility of a trade. Williams signed a 3-year, $21 million contract with the Lakers in the summer of 2015; his annual salary this season is $7 million. To date this season, he has averaged 24.2 minutes of play per game, scoring 18.4 points, grabbing 2.3 rebounds, providing 3.1 assists, and making 1.07 steals, with a shooting percentage of 44%.
