The Warriors will face the Celtics at home today. Kevin Durant spoke in a pre-match interview about his knee injury, saying that there is no specific timeline for his return. Speaking about his injury, Durant said, \"It could have been worse; my career as a player has suffered a slight setback, that’s all.\" ” Durant said that after getting injured, he spent about 30 minutes thinking that he might be done for the season, until the tests showed that his injury wasn’t as serious as he had feared. Talking about his current condition, Durant said, “Mentally, I’m feeling fine. I can shoot from a wheelchair and maintain my jump-shot form.” Over the past week, I didn’t feel like an NBA player at all; I’m glad to be back and see these guys. ” Regarding his return timeline, Durant said, “I’ll play when I feel ready.” There is no clear timeline yet, that’s all. ” Durant said that he now sets small goals for himself every day, such as straightening his knees, and works hard on recovering daily; he will return to the court when he feels good enough. Durant injured his left knee in the Warriors’ away game against the Wizards and then returned to the locker room. Previous examinations revealed a grade 2 strain of the medial collateral ligament in Durant’s left knee, as well as a contusion of the tibia; a follow-up examination will be conducted in four weeks.
