The Qingming Festival holiday meant a busy trip home; taking advantage of the good weather, I went to the shores of Dongting Lake several times to enjoy the scenery and fish, thus relieving the stress from my busy work. As a chemical industry worker, the daily work pressure is simply too great. It’s necessary to find a quiet place, sit down in peace, put away one’s phone, gaze into the distance, enjoy the scent of flowers, and sing loudly in the open fields to relieve the tension in one’s nerves. Setting up the fishing rod and breathing in the sweet air, whether a fish is caught or not doesn’t matter; what matters is the surroundings and the experience of the process. The spring breeze once again greens the banks of the south; spring is in full bloom by Dongting Lake. Wildflowers bloom by the lake, and new buds appear, creating a scene of lush vitality.
