He was born on September 29, 1891, in Jiading County, Shanghai City, and passed away on October 15, 1953, in Shanghai. Graduated from the Shanghai Ordnance School in the chemistry field in 1911. He once served as a chemist at Hanyang Iron Factory, head of the manufacturing department at Hanyang Armory, engineer and manager at Xiechang Match Factory, and manager at Shanghai Chichang New Rubber Factory, among other positions. Together with Mr. Fan Xudong, who are collectively known as \"Fan in the north and Wu in the south,\" they were pioneers of China’s national chemical industry and made outstanding contributions to its establishment and development.
Does this photo of Wu Yunchu look like “Bogo”?
Triacids and dibases are basic raw materials in the chemical industry. Starting with hydrochloric acid, Wu Yunchu founded Tianyuan Electrochemical Factory in 1929, which produced hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, and bleaching powder by electrolyzing salt. Although on a small scale, Wu Yunchu was the pioneer of China’s chlor-alkali industry. During the electrolysis of table salt, chlorine and hydrogen are produced; in addition to being used to manufacture hydrochloric acid and bleaching powder, some of the hydrogen is released into the air. Wu Yunchu wanted to use the evacuated hydrogen to synthesize ammonia, and from that ammonia to produce nitric acid. He believes that if nitric acid plants can be established, China will have all three types of acids. At that time, there was already a Kaicheng sulfuric acid factory in Shanghai, and there was no connection between the sulfuric acid industry and the production of electrolyzed salt. In 1934, he initiated the establishment of the Shanghai Tianli Ammonia Plant, which was designed to produce synthetic ammonia and nitric acid; the entire project was completed in 1936. Thus, Wu Yunchu’s desire to develop the production of chemical raw materials has been initially fulfilled.
【HaiChuan. Pioneers in the Chemical Industry】02 Fang Lixian – A pioneer in China’s household chemicals industry http://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-1842564-1-1.html (Source: HaiChuan Chemical Forum) Take a look; it’s quite good
It’s really similar too, but there is a sequence to it; it should be Boggo who looks energetic and capable
I’m stunned – Tianyuan Chemical Factory is in Yibin, just as the Dàyán Group is there. There’s also Tianchu MSG in Chongqing; all of these were founded by our predecessors
He was also a pioneer of the national industry.
I had intended to keep this one, but you beat me to it. Who will be the fifth?
Okay, we will do our best to uncover and present to everyone the achievements of the pioneers in the chemical industry.
