I traveled there from Ordos, using the newly opened G7 Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway. Drivers on this route should pay attention to their fuel levels; there are many gas stations along the way (from Ordos to Ejin Horo), but the amount of fuel that can be pumped out at each station is limited. It’s roughly 200 yuan per vehicle, and there is no fuel with an octane rating higher than 95. Be especially careful – I stopped at a gas station while on the expressway to refuel. I thought I was the only one who would do such a thing, but there were long queues at the gas stations. It seems that many people didn’t expect to have to wait in line at a gas station. . .
