Ningbo Huatai Shengfu Polymer Materials Co., Ltd. is located in the Ningbo Daxie Development Zone, which is part of the petrochemical industry cluster in the Yangtze River Delta. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huatai Shengfu Holdings Limited (a Hong Kong-funded company). At the beginning of 2017, with the aim of achieving comprehensive utilization of resources and further extending the industrial chain, the company planned a second-phase project for the processing of 700,000 tons per year of light hydrocarbons. The total investment for this project was 6.126 billion yuan; it involved the construction of three new production units capable of producing 600,000 tons per year of ethylene, 400,000 tons per year of polyethylene, and 300,000 tons per year of styrene.
