At 19:35 on the evening of November 8th, Beijing time, the Chinese U22 national football team played its first match in the Duyun International Youth Football Championship, against the Saudi U22 national football team. In the first half, Saudi U22 defender Alishamrini was sent off for a foul using his foot. Near the end of the first half, Chen Wei committed a foul inside the penalty area, resulting in a penalty kick; Alaniz converted it. In the second half, Alaryani scored with a header to increase the score, and later Cao Yongjing created another penalty opportunity, but Yao Junsheng’s penalty was saved by the opponent’s goalkeeper. In the end, the U22 national team lost 0-2 to Saudi Arabia’s U22 team.
