Today is the first day of the tenth month in the lunar calendar, the traditional Cold Clothes Festival. The weather has turned cold; it is a time to pay respects to our ancestors and clean their graves, those who once cared for and protected us.
According to Chinese tradition, on the first day of the tenth lunar month each year, clothes for the deceased are sent to them, which fully reflects China’s culture of filial piety and also teaches children to never forget the kindness shown by their elders.
