The atomic weight of sulfur is 32, and the molecular weight of sulfuric acid is 98; with an overall sulfur utilization rate of 98.5%, the value is 98÷32×98.5% = 3.01656……

It’s better to multiply by 98.5%: P. You can give it a try; if we assume that the overall sulfur utilization rate is only 50%, then 1 ton of sulfur can be used to produce over 6 tons of sulfuric acid! ;P

The number of kilograms of sulfur consumed per ton of 100% sulfuric acid = 32/98 * 1000 / (conversion rate/100) / (absorption rate/100) / (1–unknown loss rate) / (sulfur content/100). Here, 32 is the molecular weight of sulfur and 98 is the molecular weight of sulfuric acid. The unknown loss rate is related to the management level of each company; it mainly refers to quality losses and losses that occur during startup and shutdown processes.
