In everyday life, we often encounter situations where a friend or colleague says they have time to take you out for a meal, only for that to never happen. So what exactly is the time when there’s time? Is it a time when this can be achieved?
Maybe they’re really busy, maybe they never thought about it, maybe they really forgot. It’s really hard to say.
I think it’s probably just polite talk, something said casually. Some people might not take it seriously, while others might still be thinking about it.
