**76ers fail to turn the game around at 34 points; Raptors’ comeback falls short despite strong performance

On January 16th, Beijing time, the 76ers delivered a stunning performance, defeating the Raptors 117-111 at home. 76ers (20-20) are very close to the Eastern Conference playoffs. ““The Emperor” Joel Embiid scored 34 points and 11 rebounds, JJ Redick added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Ben Simmons was ejected in the final moments but still managed to score 12 points; Dario Saric contributed 11 points and 7 rebounds, while Robert Covington had 11 points and 8 rebounds. TJ McConnell, who came in as a substitute, scored 18 points and provided 8 assists. The Raptors (29-13) suffered two consecutive losses. Kyle Lowry returned to the game, scoring 13 points, grabbing 7 rebounds, and providing 4 assists; DeMar DeRozan scored 24 points and added 5 assists, while Serge Ibaka scored 10 points. Deron Wright, who came in as a substitute, scored 20 points.
The 76ers really improved in the playoffs as well
