A few years ago there were lantern festivals with fireworks as well; the Lantern Festival was really lively. By solving riddles related to the lanterns, one could win lots of toothpaste, toothbrushes, and soap – enough for a whole year. Sigh, ever since that incident happened somewhere, they **don’t organize such things anymore** to avoid trouble; now I just eat yuanxiao at home by myself. Society has indeed progressed :(
Still, many cities hold lantern festivals, such as Zigong and Harbin; it is important to ensure proper safety management
