In June 2007, a young man named Ruan Yifeng, while reviewing the **standards**, “accidentally discovered” two such **standards**: the “Personal Composition Code” and the “Family Background Code”. He posted this discovery on his blog. It was not until 2004 that the **standard for Family Origin Codes was abolished, \"because basically no organizations were using them anymore.\" But until 2009, “family background” was still listed on the Graduation Registration Forms for college graduates, such as at Lanzhou University.
Is it still necessary to fill out forms like this?
One’s background no longer matters; what’s important now is one’s father.
