This is an article about the delicious foods in Chengdu and Chongqing. Be careful if you’re hungry – it’s really tempting, but it’s not worth the risk~~ Hehe~~ Xiao Mian comes in two forms: mixed noodles and noodle soup, and various toppings can be added to it, resulting in different varieties such as pea and offal noodles, beef noodles, chicken offal noodles, and vegetable noodles (people in Chongqing really love peas and chicken offal; Qianjiang chicken offal is also a specialty of Chongqing). Compared to noodle soup, mixed noodles are lighter in flavor; while noodle soup has a layer of spicy oil on top, it’s not too greasy. It’s spicy and numbing, which makes it very tasty – it’s absolutely great! You must try it when you go to Chongqing.
Some people say that hand-pulled noodles are nothing but wontons; indeed, the raw material is the same as that of wontons. The only difference is that red oil hand-pulled noodles don’t have any soup – they only contain red oil, crushed peanuts, sesame seeds, and chili flakes. Thanks to the peanuts and sesame seeds, they have a very delicious taste, along with a spicy flavor, giving them a truly unique character.
Damn, I ate it in Chongqing. It’s so delicious – the spice is intense, and the numbing effect is great!
In fact, cold shrimps are a specialty snack made from glutinous rice; they are named so because they resemble shrimps with large heads and thin tails. In the summer, serve a bowl of chilled shrimp, adding a spoonful of brown sugar syrup to it; it’s smooth, sweet, and soft, making it an excellent way to relieve heat. You can also add some fruit cubes or coconut flakes as toppings, which will make it look more appealing. (Cool jelly and chilled shrimp are likely the same type of dessert, just with different shapes; the preparation method for cool jelly is more complex, but its taste and texture are similar.) )
When you get to Ciqikou, you’ll find that every shop sells these sausage rolls made from stones; and the filling in these sausages is actual meat, not flour – it’s genuine food, and they taste countless times better than the sausages sold elsewhere
Ice cream tofu pudding is available at Kuanchai Alley in Chengdu; it comes in two flavors: taro and mango. The tofu pudding is mixed with tremella, red beans, and ice cream – it’s smooth and sweet, with a fantastic aftertaste. I never saw it sold anywhere else after that (although it’s available at Man Kee Dessert and Yonghe Dagong, but the taste is completely different). I felt like I hadn’t had enough of it, which was really disappointing! So, if you go to Kuanzhai Alley too, be sure to buy two bowls, remember that! ! !
They are available at Wenshu Temple, Kuanzhai Alley, and Jinli in Chengdu. They are balls made of glutinous rice, coated with soybean flour on the outside, followed by crushed peanuts, and topped with a spoonful of brown sugar syrup – thus creating these delicious treats known as \"San Da Pao\". Each portion costs 10 yuan and contains only three pieces. Don’t you think the sellers are too stingy, offering just three pieces, not even enough to fill the gaps between the teeth? It’s only after eating all three that you realize it makes sense – after all, they are sweets, and eating too many of them can be boring and lead to weight gain, haha~
Liuma Laotu Tuo is really very famous; when searching on Baidu for “Shuangliu,” “Lima Laotu Tuo” appears automatically (there must be too many food lovers, hehe~). It’s available in two flavors: five-spice and spicy, and the price varies depending on the flavor – generally around 7-10 yuan per piece. It can also be packaged in vacuum form for easy taking home. People in Chengdu not only eat rabbit heads; roasted whole rabbits and spicy rabbit cubes are also extremely delicious, with a firm texture that is great to chew.
Egg custard cakes have a crust similar to that of a cake, and inside they can contain various fillings such as shredded meat, potatoes, pickled green beans, and more. The outside is crisp, with an egg-and-milk flavor, combined with the salty taste of the fillings – it’s truly a novel way of eating. I really admire the ingenuity of the working people; they came up with such things.
:Lol, Chongqing is my favorite city, absolutely my favorite. But there aren’t many opportunities to go.
