To relevant organizations: In order to better summarize the experiences of large-scale domestic projects in recent years as well as those of Chinese enterprises in international project implementation, to understand the advanced technologies for the automated and information-based operation of international petrochemical projects, to study the development of the petrochemical industry during the 13th Five-Year Plan period and the application of key technologies such as inspection, monitoring, control, communication, safety, energy conservation, and environmental protection in smart factories, as well as the solutions to related issues; to foster cooperation and exchange among government agencies, industry players, academic institutions, research organizations, and end-users; to further improve the levels of project management, EPC services, design, operation and maintenance, and procurement in China’s petrochemical sector and align them with international standards; to address the technical challenges associated with the upgrading and transformation of China’s petrochemical industry; and to promote the deep integration of information technology and industrial applications in this sector, the Chinese Instrument and Control Society, in collaboration with the Chinese Chemical Society, the China Chemical Industry News, and the International Association of Process Automation Users, has decided to hold the “2018 China (International) Petrochemical Smart Factory Technology Summit Forum and the 9th China Petrochemical Major Projects Instrumentation and Control Technology Summit Forum” (hereinafter referred to as the “Forum”) from April 11 to April 15, 2018. The relevant details are as follows: 1. Time and Location: Time: April 11 to 15, 2018 (registration on the 11th). Location: Baoshengda Hotel, Tai’an City, Shandong Province. 2. Organizers of the event: Product Information Working Committee of the Chinese Instrument and Control Society, Haichuan Chemical Forum, and Tianhua Cloud. 3. Format of the event: 1) Live broadcast of the entire venue – The Haichuan Chemical Forum and Tianhua Cloud platform will provide live broadcasts of the main venue as well as some of the side venues; extensive promotional efforts will be carried out in advance, and companies giving presentations can share the links on their social media accounts so that more customers can watch and share the content. 2. Live Interview Event: Tianhua Cloud Xiao Wei will conduct live interviews at the exhibition site. The host, Xiao Wei, will visit the company booths to interview them, inviting relevant company officials to introduce the company, its products and solutions, its advantages, main application areas, and case studies. Internet users on the online platform can watch the live broadcast as well as the recorded version; tailored video clips of these interviews can be created for companies that need them for their own promotional purposes. Live streaming times: The live stream will take place at 10 a.m. on April 12th, and at 8:30 a.m. on April 13th.
